17VATC, 19VATC and 21VATC are all listed by Xingfa as 75-ohm coaxial constructions, but their conductor material, dielectric dimensions and published electrical characteristics differ.
When selecting a VATC cable, evaluate the required cable construction, operating frequency, allowable signal loss, connector compatibility, installation space and system specification rather than choosing only by model number.
If an existing vehicle, antenna or communication system already specifies 17VATC, confirm compatibility before substituting 19VATC or 21VATC.

17VATC is a 75-ohm coaxial cable construction used by Xingfa for vehicle antenna and related signal-transmission applications. Xingfa's standard 17VATC construction uses a 17 AWG bare-copper center conductor, foam polyethylene dielectric, aluminum foil plus aluminum braid shielding, and a PVC or PE outer jacket.
The standard cable has an approximate outside diameter of 6.8 mm and a nominal impedance of 75 ± 3 ohms. Its published electrical characteristics include 83% velocity of propagation, 52 pF/m nominal capacitance and a 3000 VAC spark-test value.
Xingfa currently positions its 17VATC coaxial cable primarily for vehicle antenna systems. Its 75-ohm construction can be considered where equipment or system specifications call for a compatible 17VATC cable.
Before specifying the cable for a new RF, antenna or communication system, buyers should confirm operating frequency, transmission distance, connector requirements, installation environment and required attenuation with the Xingfa engineering team.
Xingfa states that it began coaxial cable production in 1996 and has continued expanding its cable manufacturing capabilities since then.
Xingfa reports five coaxial cable production lines with annual output of approximately 200,000 km.
Xingfa provides OEM and ODM services for customers requiring product development, specification adaptation or private-label sourcing.
Xingfa states that its cable quality-control process includes incoming raw-material inspection, in-process dimensional and electrical checks, and final batch inspection before shipment. Electrical checks may include impedance, capacitance and DC resistance depending on the product and specification. Third-party testing can also be used when required.
If you are still comparing coaxial cable structures, impedance, shielding and applications, see our coaxial cable selection guide before finalizing your cable specification.
Xingfa's published 17VATC specification lists a nominal impedance of 75 ± 3 ohms. HANGZHOU XINGFA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
The current Xingfa specification lists 17 AWG bare copper (BC) as the conductor for its standard 17VATC construction. HANGZHOU XINGFA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
Xingfa's standard specification lists an approximate overall cable diameter of 6.8 mm, with a 0.80 mm PVC or PE jacket thickness. HANGZHOU XINGFA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
All three Xingfa VATC constructions are currently listed as 75-ohm coaxial cables using 17 AWG conductors and foam PE dielectric. They differ in conductor material, dielectric diameter and some published electrical characteristics. Buyers should compare the required cable construction and system specification before substituting one model for another. HANGZHOU XINGFA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
Xingfa currently positions 17VATC as a coaxial cable for vehicle antenna systems. Compatibility should still be confirmed against the equipment, connector, frequency and installation requirements of the actual project. HANGZHOU XINGFA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
Xingfa states that it provides OEM and ODM cable services and can handle custom orders. Exact customization options for a 17VATC project should be confirmed according to the required construction, quantity and market.
