Colored optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made of high-modulus materials, and the loose tubes are filled with thixotropic water-blocking fiber paste.
At the center of the cable core is a metal strength member. The loose tubes (and filler ropes) are stranded around the central strength member to form a circular cable core. The gaps in the cable core and the space between the cable core and the steel tape are filled with water-blocking cable paste. After the double-sided coated steel tape is longitudinally wrapped, a polyethylene sheath is extruded.
