Colored optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made of high-modulus, hydrolysis-resistant materials, and the loose tubes are filled with thixotropic water-blocking paste. Water-blocking materials are applied outside the loose tubes to ensure the longitudinal water resistance of the optical cable. Two parallel glass fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) are placed on both sides, after which a polyethylene sheath is extruded to form the cable.
