Colored optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made of high-modulus hydrolysis-resistant material, and the loose tubes are filled with thixotropic water-blocking paste. At the center of the cable core is a metal strength member, around which the loose tubes (and filler ropes) are stranded to form a compact and circular cable core. The cable core, after being longitudinally wrapped with a layer of plastic-coated aluminum tape, is integrated with steel wire strands into an 8-shaped polyethylene sheath.
